Pizza Sauce

Ingredients

1/3 cup olive oil 4 cloves garlic, pressed
1/2 t salt 1/4 t pepper
1 t crushed red pepper (optional) 1/2 T oregano
1/2 T basil 1/2 t rosemary, crushed
12 oz tomato paste 1 cup water

Directions

Mix together olive oil, garlic and spices. Stir in tomato paste then slowly stir in water. Let sit for several hours to let flavors blend. No cooking necessary, just spread on dough.

Notes

Makes enough for 2 pizzas. It freezes very well! This recipe came from my sister who got it from the web (the website said it is used by many pizzerias).

Variations

You can change the ratio of water to tomato paste to suit your taste. The original was 6 oz tomato paste to 1 1/2 cups water.
